New Here, Pix of my Eastern

Hey just joined here in order to learn more about garters and other similar snakes. I've always been more of a corn snake and other similar colubrid type person but I currently own a young eatern garter snake that my father found under a trash can last August. I have become interested in these snakes also and plan to get more in the furture hopefully.

This is Griffen. I've had him/her since August. When I first got him/her, s/he was only 3in. I've been guessing he was only a week-a few weeks old because he was so small but was still old enough to a allow part of his tail that was missing due to either a predator or a bad shed to heal up. last time I measured him he was around 12in. He is probably in the 14in now though. Hes not friendly at all (his nickname is "The spawn of Satan" lol)but oddly enough I think thats what makes him so much fun to have around lol. Also I'm not sure on what he/she is. I tried popping him once a few months ago but I've come to the conclusion s/hes to old to pop now. Also hes still to small in my opinion to get probed for his own safety and I'm not experienced enough with garters to tell the physical difference by just looking at them. Hope you guys enjoy!

Thanks! I'll try, although I may be putting my life on the line with this guy lol. I always though that sexing by looking at the tail was very inaccurate with most nskaes. I guess garters are one of the exceptions, Ill go try though.

if you ask me he seems to look like a male based on the pictures in the "How to Sex your Snake Thread". But I'm not an expert so your guys opinions would be really helpful.
