There's no doubt that they recognise our individual scent. But it's strange that they can prefer one person over another.... and they do appear to.

I've got a few radixes here, maybe I smell like one. I can't imagine that, since I shower a couple times a month whether I need it or not and that's not counting getting rained on while catching worms.
