    I'm taking your advice and doing a no-hide, all tattered cloth/ground cover setup, seeing as I generally find wild eastern babies underneath pieces of newspaper and rhubarb leaves...

    This being my first year on the forum but dang there's a lot of babies being born. Is this the way it is every spring around here?

    Yeah, it's like this every spring, although we haven't really heard as much from our European members as in previous years.

    There's usually a second wave later on, when every female caught during the summer starts giving birth.
