    Re: Lucky Again!

Took our girl Lucky out for some sun. Took this picture and thought I would post it. With her in the grass and my kids all walking around she is the calmest snake I've ever seen. My kids can walk right up to her, lay down on the ground and rub her head or neck. She doesn't startle or take off. If I lay down in the grass she'll come over and climb on me. She has every opportunity to run away but chooses to stay. She's not a normal radix. There's something special about this one. I think she thinks she's people.

    Re: Lucky Again!

I had the unfortunate job of cutting down my 25 year old cherry trees. They had given great service to the neighborhood bird and my family for a long time. I mulched up the small stuff and spread it around a few of my trees. I know, I know. Who cares! Well, Lucky does. Fresh mulch is a perfect place to go exploring and digging. She'll spend all the time I'll give her doing just that. This of course doesn't sit well with my daughter Gabby. She gets nervous when her girl is out of site.

I didn't know a sculpture could eat so much. I remember finding her and putting her in my pocket while I finished mowing. She couldn't have been more than a couple of weeks old. They do grow fast.
