Re: When will they be out?

I would get one from a breeder but i dont really use the shipping deal. Its just easier to get one from the wild and raise it on my own. That may be the wrong thing to do but its the way i go.

They're calling for 72 degrees on Tuesday and 50's the days before. My wild radixes will be coming out to get some sun. I'll try to get some photos. I sure hope they come out.

Re: When will they be out?

Spent late afternoon outside sunning a few of my radixes. There were a couple hundred Robins out, all fighting for mates. No snakes. Higher temps for the next 4 days. 73 degrees on Wed. They should be out checking things out by then. I did find a dead newborn from last fall in the grass. Poor little guy.

It was only in the mid 40s today, but next to the house I found this garter sunning itself.

Too bad the camera focused on the weeds instead of the snake.

Re: When will they be out?

The kids and I went out to one of our local radix spots. Last year these hills were covered with them. Granted, we are a month earlier then last year. Didn't see a single snake. It was about 54 degrees with a cold south wind. Too nice a day to be stuck at home.
