NEVER trust a garter with an open door.....will sneak out as soon as possible!!!!! I have a 10 gallon holding tank for snakes when I am cleaning cages.....larger ones shoot up and out if I don't keep a lid on them!!!!

True to what Don said... I make sure all 3 of mine, are in a container when I clean. When I put their food in their home, I make sure all 3 are there.

Funny you should mention this. Lucky wanted to be alone just before she gave birth. She didn't want to be in with her group. Moments after the last baby was delivered she wanted out. The last thing she wanted to do was stay with them. I put her back with her buddies and she was fine.

I have since then returned her to her babies from time to time. The babies all come out and smell the new visitor. Then they all take a snooze in the hide.Steve
