I just remembered, I had a customer on saturday and as I was scooping them some feeders I casually asked what they were feeding (i do this often when scooping goldfish in case they are feeding a snake and don't know that it's bad)

well, she said a snake... but it got worse than that. Her northern water snake also occasionally got soemthing else to eat other than goldfish.

"last night, we gave him a left over fish stick, but don't worry we only do that every once in a while and we did scrape most of the crumbs off first"

I actually dropped the net that was in my hand. And when I told her all about the 506983 reasons why a cooked, processed, salted fish stick is bad....how she can go over to the grocery store and get all the safe cheap food for her snake she ever wanted, she still wanted the ten goldfish and said "well doesnt he want to eat moving things anyways?"

Did the fish stick flop around in his water bowl first??? or did he just gobble that up?!
