Please do not post until you see the last post saying that I am finished... thanks!

Okay guys... be ready for one loooonggg post. Daytona... needless to say, was a freaking blast. It was my first time, and let me tell you i am hooked for life. I got to meet a lot of awesome people that made the reptile hobby what it is today, as well as see some things I have never seen before. I finally got to meet Scott Felzer, lord of the garter snake world and let me tell you, he is AWESOME! I must have spent half my day at his table... I took home quite a bit from him as well. To see his garters in person, absolutely breathaking!! He made me want to sell all of my other snakes and just have 5730905 garters. of course, I won't quite be doing that, but it was enough of a shove to finalize my decision to sell up to half of my not-garters/red-bellies/dekays/water snakes.

So... even though the night before the show my boyfriend got incredibly drunk and was doing very bad things like projectile vomiting onto my hairdryer, brush, jewelry, and clothing, it was a GREAT expierience and I simply cannot wait to do it again.

Here is a list of what I came home with:

1 baby black racer from the hotel parking lot
5 anoles for a friend also from the hotel parking lot

From Scott Felzer:
1 male hypo FL banded water snake
1.1 similis- FL bluestriped garters
1 female Iowa snow plains garter
1 female nebraska albino plains garter
1.1 flame easterns (finally got them!)

From some random guy with 84995 "red sided garters"
1.2 BLACK oregon red-spots. there was like 50 snakes in that tank, but 3 of them were oregon red-spots with absolutely NO red spots!!! They are NEAT! Even Scott thought they were cool.... and they are a trio to boot!
1.1 Valley garters.... gorgeous

From other vendors:
Female 08 Abbott Okeetee cornsnake... see pics below to see what they look like all grown up

Breedable young male White-sided black rat snake... Tightie whitie has a boyfriend now!!!

Won a mustache'd (facial pattern abnormality) BP for $20 during silent auction!

And last, but certainly not least....

When I went back to Scott's table to say bye.... he said he wanted to show me something that was found and passed on to him 2 weeks prior to the show... and He pulled out a little critter carrier and picked up a very tiny albino "garter" snake. He was like man im not sure about this one he's so tiny! I am looking at it.. and I said Scott, that is not a garter snake. He looked surprised and he said.. yes it is!!! And I said no, no its really not!!! It's from the genus Storeria, I could tell by the shape of his little head and from the telltale "collar" behind the head that was pink (normally would be black). He still disagreed and then as I was talking to him saying "it's a dekay's brown snake!" I could see him suddenly realize what it was!! He was like oh my gosh, I never even thought of that... and after examining the little fella again... he said i was right!! haha! And then I said well congrats I think that is the only one known to man, you're a lucky fellow... and he said he doesn't keep dekay's... and then told me I could have it for what he payed the other guy for it!! I am ECSTATIC!!! Scott Felzer, you are the man. So now, I am in possession to what my knowledge, is the ONLY albino Dekay's Brown snake known to man. I got home at 3:30 AM and instantly offered him some tiny worm peices... I was worried about him looking at tiny bit thin, and he ate four of them while still in the container, right off my tongs!! I know that not many people even know what a Dekay's is... but this is a SERIOUS priveledge to be working with this snake. THANK YOU SCOTT!!

But now... without further blabbing..... here are pictures from the show! I have to apologize I didn't get some better ones... my battery charger is missing and so I had ONE full battery to work with, once it dies its dead... so I only took 1 or 2 pictures of things and then shut the camera off to save power.
