That's what I'm going to try doing today at work, at the park.

I'm gonna see IF I find a garter (preferabley one different'un Winnie) since it can/could be used in the program, since I've a nice little home set up for a snake, since as a state park we've a permit, since I'd be using it in the programm, I'm going to see IF I could keep it and bring it to work on weekends.

I doubt seriously Dave's gonna let it fly. But I'm desperate! I'm so envious sitting here reading about your finds, your doings, your playing with them, the care you give them! I'm having wanting-a-baby-pangs!

I called five (three Petco, two Petsmat) stores last nite and not one had a garter. (Well, TC's Reptiles has that albino checkered, but I'm not into albonios.) I called and checked on Kenabec to see if I could get him before six weeks and there's a sssllliiigggghhhhhtttt possibility. It all hinges on Kenabec and whats best for him - gods bless his breeder. Since I've never had a snake o'my own before, let a lone a Hoggy. I truly understand and completely agree. I just don't like it!

I've posted at the MN Herp Yahoo Group about finding a g-breeder in the area. Not a peep. The Yahoo Garter Snake forum - they frown on such posts! So, duh? HOW are people supposed to hook up?

I WANT A GARTER AND I WANT IT RITE NOW! (crossing arms, stamping foot, pouting, and starting to cry)
