So I noticed that my three year old male had retained the tip of his tail. I got it off, but this guy is absolutely nuts and completely flips out whenever you look at him too hard. When he musked, I noticed a small smear of blood coming out along with it though. I haven't really noticed blood in his tank before now (there could have been small amounts I just haven't noticed), and I didn't see any swelling around his vent.

He's been in with a female that is a foot longer than him for three days now. I haven't seen them actually locked up, but every time I walk in they are on top of each other, so I wouldn't be surprised if they've mated. Could the blood I saw be a result of mating that I don't need to worry about, or should I remove the female and try to get a fecal done on him? She's more than big enough to drag him around and cause a mating injury... I'll keep a closer eye on his poo and see if there's any more blood.

He's eating well and hasn't shown other signs of infection or parasites, but after my issue with parasites last year I'm paranoid. Especially since he's currently got a roommate.
