So I am driving down the street today, going about 50 miles per hour and it started to rain lightly.

I turned on my windshield wipers and right away I notice a snake sitting in the well that houses the wiper blades when not in use, the wind got hold of him and he was losing the battle to stay on the truck fast.

So I pulled over just in time for the snake to slide across my hood and fall to the ground.

I walked around to the front of my truck and picked up this yearling eastern (appeared male) then walked into the woods on the side of the road and released him.

Thankfully, he chose my truck instead of someone else's to hide in.. and thankfully I noticed him, he was small, probably no more than 12 inches tops... Crawled away without a scratch, hence one lucky garter snake.

So anyway, I had to share.
