As you may have noticed i am not a garter snake keeper that feeds many rodents to my snakes. I am more a fish-feeder kind of a guy...
And I am always looking for new stuff to extend the menu of my legless friends.
Some time ago I had an idea and yesterday I tried it out.

I have a brother that likes to fish. And he is quite succesfull so he often goes home with a bag full of fresh fish. I asked him to freeze the fish waste for me, especially the internal organs and the intestines. These things are very nutritious.
Yesterday I thawed some of this and tried it out on some of my snakes.
It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it...
Next time I will give them this delicacy, I will place them in some curver boxes first, cause it really is a dirty job! But I wanted to make pictures of it, so I had no choice.
On the pictures you can see if they liked it. In the feeding bowl you see the head of an eel (my eques scotti loved it) and the organs and intestines of the common dab (Limanda limanda).
I handed most of it to them with tweezers.
Enjoy!
