I've been seeing (or I should say.. catching..) a good amount of puget sound garters. I have seen several times in posts that they are uncommon or maybe even hard to find. How rare are they, exactly? I'm just wondering since I can pretty much find them anytime.. (Others cannot?)

(Don't worry, as I have said before, 9 out of 10 are let go. I usually just bring them home. Take some pictures. Look at them for a bit. Let them go. Although, there is that moment every once and a while where a snake I find is too nice to automatically let it go. It has to be offered food frequently, for a couple of days to a week or so depending on if the snake can afford to lose a little weight.)
