Alright, so before I start any arguements about rosy reds, let me just say, that I have only fed them to my WC adult, when I didn't know any better, and now cause that's about all he eats... Got him on worms, and silversides so I feed less, (almost none) of them(long time ago), trying to get him on tilapia so I can eliminate them completely. I have a large stash in the freezer that I thaw for him mostly for scenting. That is a part of his diet though, as he is picky about silvesides, and guppies are too small. (and expensive) Working on that.

I'm gonna give him his deworming meds soon, he just started eating again, ad minnows being the only thing he's guaranteed to eat, I've been using those lately so I can guarantee he'll eat the meds.

Anywhoo, I had accidentally broken only the head off one, and it's really too small to feed him, (it was a little minnow) but as I picked it up (hemostats) to try, the fishes eyeballs popped out.... whoops.

I finished feeding him, and fed the babies. Used all the worms I cut, all the tilapia and silversides. I wanted to pick up my new checkered baby (mean mean mean) to try and get him to trust me and eat while in my hand... didn't want to go thaw more food (no I'm not that lazy, but he'd eaten enough already) and I considered feeding the small bloody chunks from the left over minnows, but didn't want to risk it, as I've never fed them to my babies... But I saw the eyeballs and figured they couldn't hurt, and I was curious if he'd eat them... aw heck why not.

He loved 'em. Loved. Like, a lot. He has never refused anything, but also never showed this much enthusiasm in a particular food item.

This snake hates me, and is terrified of me. Has never eaten from my hand. He just did. Fish eyeballs... who knew.

I popped out 2 more.

Thought id share that weirdness.. But i do have a question though.. Didn't plan to, but is there any reason to feed more? Any risks or benefits you know of??
