came home today to find twenty healthy baby checkereds in the viv, to say they were unexpected would be a massive understatement, although i put together the mother and another female [an albino] with my three checkered males, one old fellow who has reached double numbers in age, and a duo of whippersnapper brothers not yet two, i thought i had not had any luck, little did i know the only down side was finding three full term dead who may well have had a chance if i would have had a suitable damp birthing box in place.
the other fact which wrong footed me was the refusal to eat by the two females over the last couple of months how she had all those healthy little snakes on the minuscule amount of food she has eaten is beyond me but even as i type this she is tucking in appetite returned
