Relaxing on our porch on a chair during a warm summer afternoon.

This is Theif, my Redsided Garter Snake. He was wild caught from my neighborhood by me in May. He is about 2.9 feet long, and his girth is about an inch.

He is blind in his right eye, and when I found him he had scale rot, cuts, and all sorts of wounds. He is looking much better now, and I hope he has a speedy recovery.

A nice photograph of him looking out of his good eye.

I have found him to be a very good eater. I feed him earthworms, cricket frogs, chorus frogs, and today I fed him a rat pup.

Because of him being blind, he is a bit nippy during feeding time. Otherwise, he is the tamest garter snake I have had.

I have beeb calling Theif a "he", but I don't know his gender exactly. I am suspect that "he" is a "she", but I hope someone more advanced can help me out

Thanks for reading my first post, I'm glad to be here!
