While feeding a group of young radixes I on occasion will get snakes drop out to the floor. This usually happens when they crowd the edge of the enclosure waiting for me to hand feed them. I usually see or at least hear them when they hit the floor(only able an 20 inch drop). Apparently one escaped undetected by me(I must be getting old). After I was done feeding the group I took the food dish out and set it on the floor. I left the room for a few minutes and when I returned I found this young radix in the food dish. She must have missed out on some food and wanted to set things right. She had the entire snake room to roam in but stayed by the food dish. She made no attempts to get away and gladly returned to her enclosure.
Reminds me of the time I was sitting on the floor and a wayward radix came up to me begging for food while I fed another group.
This whole snake thing is a lot easier when the snakes are trained
