Well I hope you are all happy now, you have totally corrupted me! I no longer see the sky or trees, I am constantly looking down on the ground. Went down to Keuka lake (in the NY finger lakes) for a fishing trip with the boys, and stayed over for a couple of days. Went out this morning with Chloe (my German shorthair) for a short walk and when we got near the top of the hill she went into “snake point” (that is a lot like bird point, except her nose is about 2 inches off the ground). Went over to have a look and she was pointing a nice little t s sirtalis . Naturally no camera, so went back down to the cottage and got the camera and came back up and started looking, with the following results:

Thanks to Sid I have been shamed into not using my age as an excuse for not turning over rocks, this l. t. t. was under the first large rock.



Is the May contest over? Too bad! Had two of these babies, but one escaped while I was trying to take a photo of a salamander.
