Some of my girls are looking pretty thick lately!

I am expecting the water snake to go into prelay shed any day now... I can't possibly see her holding this in much longer! When I have to take her out I carry her around on a large flat board. She is the calmest water snake I've ever met! I've been taking her outside fairly often for a bit of a stretch and some natural sunlight, and a few small silversides for a snack. Also, she needs a name, I'm tired of calling her the water snake!!!

I didn't think this girl bred this year, but it looks like she may be gravid after all. Right now it's at that stage where you ask yourself, is she gravid, or just well fed?! Fingers crossed.

Another total surprise was Marcy. I saw no courtship between the two but I am pretty sure she's getting close to her prelay shed now. She's so dull looking, and very ornery to boot!

This will be the father of Marcy's babies! Mister Mustard

Also not shown are some of my other gravid girls, including Radish who, if she took, will be birthing het anerythristic plains, the female checkered I got from Rhea, Dokee my female okeetee cornsnake, and Milkshake my hybrid kingsnake whom is in her laybox as we speak! And fingers crossed for the red striped ribbons to have been bred before I got them! They certainly have the appetites!
