    Question New snake?

I'm giving my hermit crabs up for adoption, which I believe is for the best. They haven't come up from being buried for more than a day since the first cold snap we got in the fall. Yeah, really long time!

I've made my peace with letting them go; they're getting adopted by an experienced crabber so I know they'll be in good hands. And, once they go, I will have an empty, quite usable, 20G tank.

I'd like to get another snake, but I'm not sure what I can handle; Raven's my first snake and I know there are other breeds that are trickier than garters. I'm open to anything at this point, as long as it's active (not a hider like milksnakes), can fit happily in my 20G, and it's not too tricky for me to handle.

Any suggestions? The pet store by my work has a pretty kingsnake for sale, but it might be too big. Also once I get ideas on breed I'm planning on checking petfinder.com because they sometimes have alot of reptiles in need of homes.

    petfinder is a great idea
if you're looking for something that won't grow too large, how about a garter?
    or perhaps a hognose?
