    Re: genetics question

Has there ever been a hypoerythristic red-sided garter?

    Re: genetics question

lets see...hypo erythristic...Well, I guess that there are many of those. In nature, a lot of red sides dont have much red on their sides at all. If you really mean something genetic, you might want to have a look at scott felzers website, there's a 'collorles redsided'

    Re: genetics question

I guess it would have the patterns of the normal red-sided, but lack some the red pigmentation. I don't mean the ones that just don't have much of a pattern to begin with.

The colourless red-sided garters definitely come to mind, but I wondered if there was a morph that was actually widely called hypoerythristic.

just a quick question/personal opinion, why would want to take the red out of them in the first place, i mean besides a few tiny pysical features you would have the same thing if you just got a sirtalis sirtalis, and it would probably be cheaper too. again just a question/personal opinion.

the colorless wasn't created....itwas a baby from a wild caught snake i caught in Kansas. it never colored up. will be interesting to cross with other color variations of red siders.

It would be a matter of personal preference and a hypoerythristic / anerythristic red-sided would hardly be the same as an eastern.
