Is it a picture or have they got the poor thing stuck in a plastic bag?

LoL. it's a photo. I'm just not clear as to why they used the image of a garter snake on the packaging of a camping table.

Yeah when the family went R.V. camping in 2011 we went a bit early (late May) and the weather was crap. (Thunder storms hail/rain heavy at times) On the last day we had some sunshine and about 9am while sitting around the camp fire a huge blue concinnus slithered right up into camp to warm up by the fire! The campers next to us were totally freaking out and screaming because snakes were on their site too. I told them they could shoo them our way. They are welcome in my camp any time.

We've been going later in the summer since then but by then conditions are dry and hot. Don't see a single snake anywhere around there in those conditions.

I doubt any turtle attacked a boy in the first place. More likely the boy was messing with it and the turtle defended itself.
