Cuddles!

Cuddles has suddenly decided that he likes his water and he has been soaking in it. It can't be that it's too warm for him - the temp is lower than normal in the tank. Perhaps when I feel less wobbly from pain meds I will set up something for him to swim in and see if he freaks out like last time or not.

Maybe when he was on his adventure he was somewhere where it was very warm...

Sometimes they just like to soak. Maybe he felt like sitting in his little "hot" tub

lol well, i turned off his lamp just in case it was too warm for him. it could be that he was dehydrated after his little escapade. or perhaps he crawled through some dust and decided he needed a bath.

Good call on the dehydration...I didn't even think of that...duh. Just make sure it doesn't get too cool in there without his lamp on...he may need to warm up after soaking for a while.

Some of ours like to soak for hours, the new parietalis in particular, and the Cuitzeos. The parietalis will just bath for hours, I think it's something of a security thing for her and she feels safer in water. As she's settling in she is spending less time in the bowl.

It was wisdom teeth. It hurts now and I'm sick of the taste of blood.

What's the matter? You don't like the taste of salty rusty nails? (salt and iron give blood it's taste) I can't imagine why not.

Well, on it's own it's not that pleasant, but I have found that when mixed with strawberry jello it's not so bad

Cuddles typically never ventures into the water dish, which is why I was surprised to see him soaking and figured that he might be dehydrated. Unless he found the dog's water dish, there's not much water available throughout the house and he was missing for three nights.

Last night, in between doses of pain meds. Cuddles was cheering me up when the last dose wore off and I was waiting for a good time to take the next one:

I measured him last night. He's about 8.5-9 inches long now. You can't really tell in this picture, though xD

He's so cute with his little speckled face...and he looks so small in that last pic! I like the knot he has him self tied in in the first pic...Possum does that.

Cuddles loves to tie himself into knots like that. It's absolutely adorable. I think he tried to use his cuteness against me sometimes
