    Re: Chicken liver

That's a good question. I'm not sure though. I just know that the liver they ate had been frozen for a few weeks before my mom cooked the chicken

Freezing kills a lot of parasites, though it is recommended that they be frozen for a month.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

So basically I can take the gizard bag and goodies from inside the turkey out at thanksgiving and then put them back in the freezer and wait a month and then Im able to feed them to my snakes. How is it prepared? just defrost and cut and serve?
I wanted to Thank you Steve for your help with the heating pad.

I have 4 Easterns(mine: Furbie and Whiplash; moms: Diamond and Silky) all are 5 and half months old. So much fun gaters are.

I would think if the turkey came from the store frozen, that's probably sufficient, no need for more freezing. Unless you want to chop up the goodies and refreeze them in portions.

All but the gizzard. I trim all the muscle tissue off of it so that all you're left with is the gizzard meat.
That I cut that into small pieces. It's a very tough/hard meat.

    Re: Chicken liver

I just cut up the liver into bite size pieces. The 2 that ate it gobbled it right up!
