Re: Flood Worries
The river level in our area dropped by 1 foot over the last week.
It's still 6+ feet above flood stage so life continues on the edge here.
Only 2-3 months more and it will be done.
We're hoping we'll be here to enjoy it.

Re: Flood Worries
The river dropped another 6 inches but is still over 6 feet above flood stage.
They opened a small stretch on I-29 which included the exit just blocks from my house. This will make travel more convenient for us.
Found some structural problems(caused by ground water pressure) with my house foundation. It's not critical but will have to be addressed at some point. It will probably involve raising the house off the foundation on that side.
Not something I'm looking forward to.
We are in a heat wave and are expecting highs near 100 for the next week.
Factor in the high humidity and the heat index will be around 115 degrees.
