She's adorable!!! I've been waiting and waiting for you to get her! How exciting! I wouldn't worry about the humidity...most of us spend all of our time trying to get our humidity up to that level...it will be good for her when it's time for her to shed...that is not really high...really high would be like 70%. Your humidity is up because of your temp being up. Some of the breeders on here recommend higher levels of humidity on a regular basis...so I think you're fine.

She is beautiful! Congrats! Looks like you went with aspen shavings. Your tank looks great, just be really careful if you feed in the tank. A few of our snakes will only eat in tank. I put a hand towel down over the substrate then give the food, that way they don't drag the food around and accidentally swallow substrate. Again, she is gorgeous. I'm very happy for you!

Thank you very much I went with aspen shavings because I saw how much she liked to burrow while I was taking her home. Also I doubt I will feed in tank , I'll be sure to use your way if I do feed inside. Thanks again !

Re: Introducing jade and her tank !

I would turn the AC down just a bit if you can...she may like it a bit warmer than that. I would shoot for around 80 on the warm side...but if you can't turn it down, your temps 78/73 are about what mine have been running on very cold winter days here. You are going to have to see what she likes...her behavior will tell you...if she is staying under the lamp on the warm side all the time, she likes it warm and may need it warmer. 78/73 is not bad. I would be more concerned about her not being able to cool down in the really warm temps you had before...but that is my opinion...other members may tell you differently.

I don't know why I didn't think of putting a towel down over the substrate when I was feeding my snakes in the tank. I can be such a ditsy blonde sometimes. I'm putting pieces of paper towel down all over and trying to make sure the snakes don't go off the paper towel....duh...
