    Measuring

So, if I know that this Pringle's can is 10.5" long, can someone help me figure out how long my new ball python is?!

BTW, he's a yearling male, normal color (has pastel siblings.) I was told he weighs about 500gr.

    Re: Measuring

It will be diffcult to be precise from that photo. I'd be guessing at about 3 times the length of the can.

I may have to use a piece of string! Well, I DO have a fabric tape measure, but will probably need another set of hands.

    Re: Measuring

I've not worked out a good way to measure our garters, they dont keep still for long enough so Ive been guessing based on the known dimensions of the viv. I'd be tempted to try the piece of string.

I tried to use Serpwidgets, but when I uploaded my picture, it says my browser does not support canvas drawings!

Take that same picture only from above and use this. Works great. Easy to use. Gets perfect measurements.

    Re: Measuring

"Browser?" The snake measurer is an executable file. Once you download and install it, you shouldn't have to worry about your browser.

Wait. My mistake. The page linked is for a browser widget. However, there is an executable version of the snake measurer available, I'm pretty sure. It's what I used to measure Little Dude (she's up to 32 inches at last measure).

I ran the pic for you, and it looks like 2 feet 9.63 inches, or 33.63 inches.

As for your browser, the page says it works with IE9. Maybe upgrade? I used Firefox 7 with no problem.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.
