Blood droplet at end of tail

I have an albino garter, About 1 year of age, i don't know the gender and while handling him/her today I noticed a wet feeling on my hand.

I presumed it was musk and went to return him/her to the "tank", then noticing a small drop of blood at the end of the tail.

Just wondering if this is normal, or if there's something wrong (he/she's been cut ect.)

One thing to add, there seems to be an "extra" bit at the end of the tail, looking a bit like a skin flake if it were a mammal.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and any advice is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like an injury or possibly your snake retained part of a shed on the tail.
If the shed isn't removed it will cut off circulation to that part of the tail and it will die. If it then broke off there may be some blood at the tip.
    Just guessing.

Sounds like it could be a retained shed on the tail and if it is it can cause damage. You need to examine it and if part of the skin is stuck on the snake you need to soak it in some luke warm water and try to get the skin off. Sometimes when you soak it for a while you can take your fingers and help the snake to gently pull it off.

I agree with everything said above. Be careful as well, I had a tail tip come off once that way inside the shed.
