    Wink new year resolution

after recently failing to enter the caption contest [i had stupidly left it too late] i noticed how few [including my self] had taken the time to vote, the numbers were pathetically low. it left me feeling very guilty as i very much value the site, I like any other member have only to state a problem or ask advice and the response is immediate, so it should not be seen as too much effort on my part to take part [even if only by voting ] in the caption and photo competition and I fully intend to do so from now on.
i have been very Careful to criticise only my self, but im hoping other members will come to a similar conclusion and decide to give a little more support to the competitions

We could all probably do a little better in the contest area.

Maybe we need pretty, athletic, young girls to promote the polls!

I couldnīt meet any of those criteria Iīm no girl nor (really) young

Iīve tried some ways to raise participation in the polls
like sending PMīs and changing my signature

    Nonvoters seem to be resistant

Want to bet? Not that I ever would vote on politics, but I lost my right in 1989. All it took was a class B felony conviction. If I wanted to push it, I could have requested that I get it back after 10 years (I would have to write a request to Governor of WA) but I don't care.

    Re: new year resolution

I might be alone on this and it may seem silly & lazy but I've always found it cumbersome to have the polls and comments on separate threads without the pics. I know I'd have voted or commented on more of them if I could see the pics in the thread I'm voting on without having to go and find them. It's such a minor annoyance but enough of a pet peeve that I often don't bother.
