Bibur finally let me hold him!

I took a pic....and I also took the best pic I could get of his underbelly right now...you probably cannot determine if he is a boy or girl from this pic...but if by some miracle you can....

It's hard to tell what sex from that picture.
Any chance you can get a photo from the underside of a clear glass container?

I made the pic bigger....I will try to hold him up and get a better pic later, or from the underside of the tank....my camera sucks!

It's really hard to tell, as you cant see the tail end really. If the tail tapers quickly after the cloaca, its likely to be a female, if it doesn't taper immediately after the cloaca it's likely to be a male.

Yeah...and I have no idea really what I am looking for...I looked at the sexing pics link but I can't figure it out. He gets really scared when I hold him still....I don't want to pick him up over and over and traumatize the poor thing. When he gets used to me holding him, I'll try to get a better pic.

If you need to know what the cloaca is, it's at the tail end of the snake, the little vent. Below that vent is the tail. If you look in the pictures, the male tail is a little bit straight after the cloaca, before tapering down to the end. The female's tail tapers right after the cloaca.
I'll post a little diagram I made in paint in 5 minutes. I find that sometimes when I need to be able to tell the sex, I take a look at it. It is harder (for me) to sex babies though. They're very small Maybe it will help you a little bit.

I think...I think...judging by that pic that Bibur is a girl....I can't really see a taper, but the distance between the cloaca and the end of the tail is shorter and there doesn't appear to be a bulge. I will try to look again later...I already picked him/her up once this morning and now he/she is hiding again. Maybe I better change the name to Bibura...

Tapering is just going from larger to smaller. The bulge also isn't always noticeable until the snake is older. When I got Snakey, I was 100% sure that he was a female... Until he was older and I got a female and he proved me wrong...

Anyway, if you could get a picture of his/her tail it'd really help us figure out if you have a "Bibur" or a "Bibura"

I'm going to try...I got one pic of his/her tail but my camera is terrible and you couldn't see any details in the pic....plus, I think I am terrifying him/her at this point when I try to hold him/her....
