some snakes that look like garter snake.

I'm only able to see the first snake. Not sure if it's my problem only.

OK, I don't know what happened there, but that post above was completely dysfunctional. All I could get was a tiny dot in the upper left. When I try to backspace to get rid of it, I get a tiny square.


People often find dekayii and come here assuming they have a garter snake but can't identify the species.(for obvious reasons. It's not a garter!)

Striped CA King snake:



I used to find those in San Diego, although they were usually brown and yellow and stripes were usually broken in places and some even had a section of bands like a normal king.
