After he loses that full look is a good rule of thumb.

Over feeding can cause them to regurgitate.

It normally takes my snakes 3-4 days if they eat a large night crawler, 2-3 if its a smaller one. Night crawlers get digested faster than some other foods if I remember correctly.

    Hooooray!
Hmmm my snakes digestion seems to be faster than some of the others mentioned here. (I'm sure temperature etc. have something to do with it.)
At least wait for the poop before offering another meal. Many Garters are beggars and will beg for snacks well before they really *need* another meal.

Ever see them pace for food 10 minutes after they slam 4 pinkies?? It's almost comical.

Abby's doing good to eat two large pinkies, but she'll hang out in her vines and play 'deadly predator' within a few hours of eating- If I have some little garden worms on hand I'll sometimes indulge her, but I'm starting to keep an eye on her girth.

Oh yeah Freud left me a "present" this morning hehe... The bulge isn't there anymore either... And right after he swallowed the worm he was begging for more it was hysterical!! I love him
