    my female checkerd garter snake

    my female garter snake is about 65cm,and about 9months old ,and i feed them the tadpoles I collected from this pool,i don't kown whether it can reproduce or not,may be you can give me some advices,and how much do I feed it would be proper,thanks alot.

    Welcome to the forum.
    Keep in mind, that food source can carry parasites. Would be good to switch her over to worms/pinkies/frozen-thawed fish.

    Thats a LOT of tadpoles!
    I haven't seen tadpoles that thick since I was a kid.

    That is a lot! About 5 or 6 years ago before the pond behind my house got destroyed there were about half that amount. I caught a few to raise and watch them grow into bullfrogs but my cat ate them somehow. I have no idea what kind of cat would eat a bullfrog tadpole... But then again she eats plastic if we don't keep an eye on her

    welcome...ya tadpoles aint good food for snakes if it can be avoided.(it should be avoided)
