    first snake

hey everyone. i just got my first snake 2 days ago, my dad and brother found it in the driveway the night before. i havent had any problems with her (im pretty sure its female lol) except i havent been able to get her to eat today. i threw a little worm in the cage yesterday and my snake went after it relitively quickly. would that be enough to last a couple days? any advice or personal prefrences would help ive read the care sheets on a couple websites but theyre all pretty much the same

That worm, depending on its size, should hold it for a few days at least. A lot of times it takes snakes a while to adjust to captivity before they eat predictably.

That happens a lot. Often when people find dekayi they know enough to think that it looks like a garter, because they do, and then can't figure out what kind, because they aren't garters! You're not alone. Don't feel bad. Happens all the time.

Congrats on your new snake. A successful feeding is good news. It will probably eat again in a few days.
