Garter Snake or not

I have two snakes to be identified. My un-educated guess is that they are garter snakes (common and eastern) by comparing it to pics on google. But I would like to be sure and kindly ask for some help to identify them. I live in Bromont, Quebec Canada the picture of the more golden/brown snake was taken today in my back yard, which is in southern Quebec
the other one with more black lines was taken last year in eastern Ontario, Hawkesbury to be exact.

both look like Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis

Yes, they both look like T.s.sirtalis to me.
