first of all i would like to say that my title isn't a line you should in a club...but if you do remember to duck lol

I was hoping that some of you guys would give me your opinion on the sex of this garter. i have been calling it a male but i could be wrong, and im a little bored so i figured why not get another opinion. also "he" is here with me right now taking over the use of my left hand, all curled up and just lookin around lol

thats what i thought, dosn't look at all like a female to me but...

looks more like a female to me.....swelling after doesn't go very far....

That is why I learned how to probe safely, I have bad eyes for that kind of stuff.

Photo #1 looks a little deceptive since you can't see above the cloaca to make a comparison of the tail width.
Photo #2 give a clear picture. Appears to have a female taper to it.
Please note that my experience comes from working with radixes.
I'm with Don on this one, FEMALE.

Yeah, we need a better overall pic, like the last 1/3 of the snake, but I'm leaning toward female too.

thanks guys, i havnt dealt much with these maritime garters before, it was easy with the redsides, got 2 successful births with them. Ill post a pic sometime tomorrow, i just got back from work and its a little late here

all along ive been calling it a female, referring to it as her or she...lol even thought of girl names for her but today when i took the pics i was like oh crap....have i been insulting you?? haha

looks like both photos are of the same snake....scrapes and markings on the tail are the same....

Looks female to me too. Sometimes you can look too hard & start second guessing yourself, I've found myself doing that before.
