And ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a T. sirtalis to me. Where did it come from?

Well my hubby went out today and come back home with him. He actually picked him up at a pet store. He was just labeled as a garter. I was kinda thinking he was a wandering garter, but a very reputable breeder of garter snake only said this:

"It looks to be a red sided void of any color. What state is it from ? It could also be a super clean eastern but the spots on the side are more indicative of parietalis"

    So I'm stumped!

looks like T.s.sirtalis (eastern garter) and given your location, that's probably what it is

Thanks for the welcome guys and keep the comments coming. I've got a thread up on cornsnakes also. Some seem to think its a ribbon others are saying garter, so I'm still trying to figure it out.
