Hey, Stupid!

Well, Here's a first for me. But before I explain the title let me set this up.
Tonight I was feeding a very special group of adult females. The group consists of my Albino red radix(Rita) My very red radix(Nova) and my normal radix(Rosy) I call her Rosy because I rescued her from a yard with roses and she was injured by a rose thorn. During her recovery time she was docile and easy to handle. After the recovery she has become, well Pushy.
Now on to the reason for the title.
I had fed Rosy one very large nightcrawler and had turned my attention to Nova who was eating at the other end of the enclosure. Rita was also down at that end. This is important information to the story. With my eyes on Nova I wasn't paying any attention to Rosy. All of the sudden I heard a tail slap the side glass. The sound came from Rosy's location. I thought this strange since the other two snakes were at the other end and couldn't have been concidered a threat to her.
I glanced at her location only to find her in a dead stare at me. She had stretched up and was as close to my face as she could get. I turned my head back towards the other two and once again heard a loud slap against the glass. Looking at Rosy I saw a more intense glare at me.
I can only guess she wanted another worm and she was saying "Hey, stupid".
I have never had a snake treat me this way before. She was trying to get my attention so I would give her another worm.
Eat, poop, sleep, breed. I don't think so. There's more going on inside that head than just that. I may never be able to prove it but I will always believe it. I love my radixes.

I'm thinking about modifing one of my Son's Nerf guns, to shoot pinkies. He has a fully automatic one that could hold 20 pinkies.
Now that's fast food.

I like that idea! I am always picking up those foam things and right about now I'm starting to throw them out as I find them. Pinky shooting is much more practical idea.

I don't think so. Some concinnus are dang near as smart as dogs and radixes definitely can be just as smart if not smarter than concinnus.

One of my concinnus males ate 6 silversides today. First meal coming out of brumation and certainly the first time the snake was fed by hand, by a human being. He's a very docile, calm male.

After that first fish, he stopped looking around the tank for the source of the fish smell and started reaching far into the air. That's where the fish came from and he remembered. Now anytime I get my hands near the tank, he's like a dog begging for food and follows my fingers. That's after ONE feeding.

They're smart. Very smart. The tail slap got Steve's attention. That radix will remember that, AND remember Steve's attention = Food.

I haven't witnessed a tail slap to get my attention, but coming right up to my face when I'm not looking for more snacks has happened before. Ohhh, sweet, pushy Radixes!

you should see bluebie My big puget girl eat... she doesnt just slap her tail around... she uses it to flail and fling her ENTIRE BODY into the air.... and rolls around in circles.... she literally JUMPS! I can never feed her without newpaper pellets ending up all over the floor and in the water.
