The 'new style': fast shutter time + flash?

Good pictures, but it's not really something I like. I liked the white background more

    Thanks for the feedback Hans.
Pictures with white backgrounds will be printed as well

The new style is balancing snakes on thin sticks with a black background.
I might look for some sticks or twigs with more green growing on them. To add more color to the picture and have a nice balance between light and dark...

I like all of them! The red snake against the black background is REALLY contrasting and looks fabulous. I agree that if you added green leaves (the complementary color of red) it would make it even more stunning.

The only criticism I have, is that the photos look a little too contrived on such a plain background. If you put some out-of-focus, dark, shadowy plants in the background, it could be even better. Then again, I'm speaking as an artist and not a photographer.

    One more, just for fun.
A bit more out of focus stuff in the background (Snakes are so much fun playing with your DOF)

More will follow, but I got to get ready for the Hamm tomorrow.
