    Food Parity

Both of these female snakes were born on Nov. 11th 2008(Lucky's kids). They have been raised together in the same enclosure. The difference is their food. The larger one eats everything offered, pinkies, nightcrawlers, salmon.
The smaller one will only eat guppies and nothing else. Some of this partity is due to the fact the good eater gets fed more often since it will eat anything. The smaller was fed less often due to the availablity of food. The smaller was fed guppies every 5 to 7 days.
A well balanced diet does have its advantages.

Shouldn't be a picky eater, there's way too much good stuff out there!

I have 3 out of this group that are this way. I've never had this kind of thing happen before. I must be getting soft.

yes - I can definitely see the difference in growth rate between my specialized eaters and the ones who will go for anything - very noticeable
what I am curious about is what determines food preferences within a litter

Great question. They were my non-eaters. After 14 days I offered guppies. They readily took them but have refused all other foods. They have on interest in worm(earthworm or nightcrawlers)
