    hello from Texas

Hello - I'm Michael Smith. I've kept eastern blacknecks, Texas garters, plains, red-sided, and checkered garters. Currently I have a gravid female eastern blackneck, and may have babies to feed within a few weeks.

I've posted an article on T. c. ocellatus on my website; if interested, have a look and tell me what you think. (See the "captive bred reptiles" page and look toward the bottom.)

I'm also very interested in field herping and natural history generally, and I try to get out to the Big Bend in west Texas and the Big Thicket in southeast Texas as often as possible.

Looking forward to browsing the photos and articles here.
