    Help! Birthing problems!

I just checked on my girl this morning; she's limp. At first I thought she was dead, but breathing; VERY shallowly.
I don't know what to do. If she dies, won't the babies die?
    Do I perform a c-section?
    THERE ARE NO VETS OPEN.
    I am FREAKING out!

    oh man, Kyle
I'm no expert, but I'd give her heat and a lukewarm bath, making sure her head stays above water
I sure hope you don't have to do a c-section
you might try some gentle rearward directed massaging also
    best wishes for her

I don't know if she's going to make it.
Her head is tilted and on its side on the substrate and she's breathing once every 21 seconds, but very lightly. She has a bit of clear discharge from her vent.
I don't know what to do. If I do a c-section I'll have to euthanize her, but I don't know how. I'm frightened.

She's gone. Her breathing has stopped. I'm going in.

    Re: Help! Birthing problems!

Opened her up and found the problem; There were fat deposits along the very end of her abdomen. The babies were almost done developing, but none of them made it. (16, all premature.) I believe the source of the problem was a combination of blockage and premature labor.
I'm going to stop feeding rodents for now; All of my snakes will be on fish/worm diets.
She was a wild caught female mated with my CB male. All her life she lived on a wild diet of worms. Her first meal in captivity was a rat pup, followed by some worms and a mouse. I believe this influx of fat forced her body to process the meal differently.
I would also like to note that I found that the male sex organs are one of the last to develop; all the males had exposed hemipenes.
    Man, this sucks.
