girls went for the chill today

so about an hour ago i put the girls down for brumation as to many suggestions from everybody i did decide the crisper in the fridge would be the best spot i bough a large tupperware container and poked about 4 dozen holes in the lid (from underneath the lid so sharp edges are on top and not touching the snakes) put down a few layers of paper towels to try and reduce condensation gave them that paper towel tube hide that was covered in fake vines and an ashtray with water in it.

since i took one of the babies hides i gave them the big girls vine tipi hide and they really seem to enjoy it they climb all over it i will be checking in on the girls 2-4 times daily (does that sound like enough?)

    any suggestions are welcome

Kevo my two girls are also in the crisper put them in yesterday. They seem ok all though I have no idea what they are suppose to be doing. I have a temp and humidity gage in there ~46/50 degrees 60% humidity.. Everytime i open the door there heads pop up and toungs come out very very slowly, limp if you will. Let me know what you are seeing with yours. I am watching very close. I am thinking in a bit i might cool the fridge down one more notch well see.

Checking on them 2-4 times a day sound like way to much. The temp in the frig. is not going to be stable and you won't keep your optimal brumation temp. Checking once a week to me seems fine. Checking the water and a quick check on the snakes is all they need unless you see something that needs immediate attention. These are just my views and don't base it on a great knowledge about brumation.

    My thoughts exactly...

Non transparent containers will keep the light out when you get food for yourself.

I Have a dedicated Mini fridge, out of the way where no one will open it.

well the cripser in white plastic there are a few slits in the back where the cold air can enter but other than that the crisper stays rather dark
