New baby garter...

Well my mom saved this little one from getting ran over in front of her house. She called me and asked what to do with it and of course I said I will take it. He is beautiful... Black and like a seafoam green. Oh, and the sweetest, calmest snake I have ever held. He possed for pictures for as long as I need him too... Maybe you can help me with what it is and the sex?

I figured out the macro setting on my new camera... I can't believe I hadn't used that yet, I have taken crappy picture after crappy picture. Which these are still by no means good but better close up...

Oh, and I just dropped my husband off at the airport to go to Las Vegas to play in the World Series of Poker, so send your good thoughts to Vegas for us.

that's a puget sound garter, thamnophis sirtalis pickeringi and it looks like a male also. very nice find!!!!
