Hello everyone i found this site looking for information on which fish contain thiaminase and i found out that i can feed my new garter certain minnows and bass fillets since i fish alot
anyways onto my garter i found him just over a week ago when i destroyed his home moving a railroad tie to the fire pit in my yard
he didnt seem to like it very much so i made him a new home out of the old fish tank i had altho at the moment it is a bit small i will be going out in about a week to get him a much larger tank
im not sure exactly what breed it is so i will post some pictures

Anyways thats him hes got a silver ishy greenishy stripe down his back if any1 can tell me what breed he is that would be great

Hi Kevin, and welcome to the forum.
I think you have an Eastern... Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis. Perhaps if you told us where in the US you are, we could confirm this.
Here's a link to help with your Thiaminase question... http://www.thamnophis.com/caresheets...?title=Thiamin,
