    Butler's! :D

Me and another member, the one who traded the albino checkered to me, are going on a field herping expedition soon for Butler's garters.
I need some background information such as diet, size, personality, etc on these guys, and also need to know if any one would be interested in babies from the pair I'd find.

Kyle, the link below is to the article on Butlers in the care sheet section. Hope you find it helpful.

Butlers are on the small side. And they tend to be VERY nervous. Night crawlers always worked fine for me.

From what I've heard, Butler's really aren't all that different to keep then easterns. In the wild they tend to be earthworm specialist, so if you're dealing with wild caughts that'd probably be your best bet to start. I have heard of some people who have had luck converting them over to mice. It seems they're like a lot of garters, where they will specialize in what ever food item is most abundant, but are at heart generalist that can go to other food sources. I know they are a protected species across much of their range, so I'd definitely check out the local laws, before collecting any and also check out the legality of breeding and selling them. Bette safe then sorry.
