    {VERY GRAPHIC} Horse injury pics

    Here was the first emergency call of the day that came into the clinic where I work today... the owner of this horse was so hystercical we couldn't understand her very well, and this is what the vet found when he got there:

    {{DELETED}}

    The owner has no idea how this happened, as she found him like this this morning. He must have fallen on this stick somehow. The stick went in 5-6 inches, and they are not yet sure if there is any damage to his bowels or urinary tract, but he is recieving all the treatment he can.

    Ths horse's name is Bud, and he has been this lady's best friend for over 20 years. So please (Stefan exempt!) send prayers, good karma, or whatever you do for Bud's full recovery... he's a sweet old boy, I've met him, and he does not deserve to suffer so!!!

    Stefan pointed out that I may want to wait on posting pics... sorry guys... I forgot there were kids on here. If one of the moderators says it's ok to post them, I will. It's really just a very interesting case, but don't want to upset anyone!!!!

    Sorry!!!

    Not that easily, no. I've seen a lot worse things than that.

    What I hate is when I'm feeding a bunch of snakes and I drop a thawed peach fuzzy on the carpet in the reptile room- dont see it- and then step on it. What a slimy mess!

    Fish, mice, birds, rabbits.. Then again, it is nastier when the one with all the blood and guts is still alive.

    Anyway, time for me to go to bed.
