Vendors who don't know what they have...

How many times have you purchased a garter and found that the vendor has the species incorrect? This has happened to me several times.

Here is my favorite... I purchased the snake pictured below, from an online vendor who said she was a T sirtalis "flame". I was quite pleased when I got her, but she ain't no flame!

LOL....gotta love it! What is she, a T.s.parietalis or fitchii....hard to tell with just the above view? But yeh, still a pretty snake.....hope you didn't pay a "flame" price for her .

Cool Re: Vendors who don't know what they have...

You have to set this one on fire to become a "flame"

    Don't try that at home...

I'm not sure myself, but thought she was a CA Red Sided.

I'll try to get better pix and post them. She is getting to be an older snake now... I have had her several years.
