    Miriam ate OUT of water!!!

Wow-- I'm so excited-- Miriam (Puget) ate a piece of salmon-- and she ate it off a little plate of salmon and pinkies, for the very first time!!!! She always always needs to eat live fish out of water... and has been getting pinky parts and salmon dropped into the water with the fish... but this is the first time she ate something without motion!

(Sniff) I'm so proud of her!

She is about 3 1/2 months old. She is SO tiny... easily 1/3 of the size of Mordecai, and they are the same age. But she's always been a much more picky eater and skips meals, whereas Mordecai will pretty much eat anything not nailed down, and still wants to eat twice a week!

Re: Miriam ate OUT of water!!!

Cool, thanks! Mine are almost 2 months old. I want to get them on salmon and trout so that's why I was curious

I've got 2 that eat like crazy! 3 are what I'd call normal eaters, and 1 is 1/3 the size of the others.

I'm moving them up to a larger tank this week and I'm curious to see if the littlest one will eat more when it has more elbow room. If not, I guess I'll put it in a tank on it's own. Is that what yall would do? They're so social, I hate to separate it, but maybe it's shy?

Maybe just seperate for feeding? That's what I've done, is take Mordecai out to feed him because he doesn't care where he eats. But Miriam is so shy, I think if I moved her to feed her she'd never eat anything. So maybe just move the more laid back snakes out for feeding??
