    My Savannah monitor

Hi, I thought I'd share a couple pics of Rosco, my Savannah Monitor. I have had him nearly 4 years. He was 19" long and just over a pound when I got him, and suposedly alittle under a year old, although I dont know if I believe he was that young. He was brought back to the pet store by someone who didnt quite know what they were getting into. Now he is 40" long and about 8 pounds.
He is dog tame and has been to several classrooms to help educate and entertain kids.

cool. I went to a demo one time and the guy tried to tell us he had a fluffy lizard. I think Rosco is a fluffy lizard with out the fluff. He looks really cudly!

Very nice V. exanthematicus, Loren. I've had a few in the past. I always wanted to keep V. albigularis but never got around to it.

They are really not that friendly
Beautyful specimen though if you're not afraid and have the room...
